Gaviscon Chewable Tablets Peppermint Flavour- Effective relief. - Heartburn and indigestion. - New smaller tablet, easier to chew. Gaviscon brings fast, soothing and long lasting relief from the pain and discomfort of heartburn (gastric reflux) and indigestion. Gaviscon quickly soothes the burning sensation and helps keep digestive acid in the stomach where it should be.
Adults: 2 tablets as required, after meals and half an hour before going to bed at night, up to 4 times a day. A dose may be increased to a maximum of 4 tablets if required.Children 6-12 years: 1-2 tablets as required, after meals and half an hour before going to bed at night, up to 4 times daily.Tablets should be thoroughly chewed and swallowed when they become sticky. This may be followed by a drink of water, if desired. Chewing may be helped if the tablets are first broken and taken a little at a time.
Not recommended for use in children under 6 years.It is recommended that you do not immediately lie down or go to bed after taking the tablets.Keep all medicines out of reach of children.Gaviscon relief tablets contain mannitol and xylitol. The maximum total daily intake (16 tablets) for adults equates to 9.6g mannitol and 2.4g xylitol. These ingredients may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea.If symptoms persist, see your doctor.
